Playtime
December 27th, 2009Peek-a-boo
October 26th, 2009Eileen and I were playing peek-a-boo with Kate (she loved it), and when we stopped she continued on her own! So we grabbed the video camera. This video was taken a week ago (Kate was 4 and 2/3 month’s old). Latest news: she’s nearly five months old, and on Saturday her first tooth poked through! Bottom left front tooth. Now she’s dangerous.
Four months old
September 30th, 2009Been a while since we’ve posted here! Watching Kate grow has been an amazing experience. I could write for the rest of my life about these four months and still not be able to describe how happy she makes Eileen and I. We look forward to every weekday morning and evening, and weekends feel like vacations. And yet the time is suddenly gone and we’re back at work, missing Kate.
She is so smart, and she’s becoming so capable. She didn’t roll over in this video, but she can do that! See a toy she wants and roll towards it. And when we say “sit up,” she actually does an ab crunch and helps us pick her up. It’s unreal. I can’t imagine how it will feel to watch her crawl, sit, stand, walk, and talk.
This week she also had a monster appetite, taking eight or nine ounces several meals in a row for several days (she normally takes six ounces). And she’s drooling a lot, which everyone seems to think is teething. We have teether toys, and she likes those.
So that’s the report! Four months old!

July 5th, 2009Check out the Flickr album, “Kate’s First Month” and don’t miss some of our favorites: first night, digging that chair, changing table beauty, closeup, reading Bats at the Beach, looking at Daddy, smiling with Mommy, and snuggling with Mommy.

Photos
June 23rd, 2009As I mentioned earlier, we have started to put photos on Flickr. Flickr members marked as “friends” or “family” can view the photos by signing in to Flickr and visiting Tim’s photostream. If you’re not a Flickr member, you can easily view them with a guest pass. Email Tim or Eileen and we’ll give you the URL.
“Basement”
June 23rd, 2009Boy, do the dogs love hanging out in the “basement” … while reaching for treats to coax the dogs into the basement, I opened the screen door to let out a fly — and two big flies got out.

June 22nd, 2009New visuals a-brewing
June 22nd, 2009Recently we’ve had two big developments in the sharing of stuff with you-all.
First, this is my third day back in the office and Eileen and Kate have been sending me the occasional photo. I’ve wanted to keep these momentary glimpses in a place better than my email inbox, so I’ve uploaded them to Flickr but locked them down so that only I can see them. Some are accompanied by notes just for me. Others are great little photos that we wouldn’t mind opening up to Flickr friends (and non-Flickr users, with a guest pass). When I have this all set up, I’ll post with simple instructions. But the basic idea is: lost more photos of Kate soon.
Second, my Mom got me a high definition pocket video camera for Father’s Day + my birthday. What a difference this makes in the video quality! Eileen and I have experimented a little and we’re very happy with the HD results. Expect all of our videos to be HD from now on.
So: more photos soon, and videos will be HD. Sweet cuppin Kates.
